A pole tent is a "tension" tent that requires a set of poles, including center poles, arranged beneath to support the top. The top is tensioned over the poles using ratchets or rope and stakes.

Frame Tents:
A frame tent is a tent with the lower frame of a frame tent and a cross wire supported center pole. The center pole does not interfere with useable space and there are no rafters to contend with. Frame parts are connected with quick pins. It is a tension style peak top frame tent with improved cable/pulley system and Eureka's patent-pending swivel leg for quick, easy set-up.
